Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, name (optional), skin type (optional), and any other details you choose to share in the form. If you opt in to WhatsApp follow-up, we collect your number solely for that purpose.

When you use skingem, we collect your skin profile (skin type, concerns, age group), product interactions (views, reviews, saves), and usage data to improve the product. We do not collect payment information directly — any transactions go through third-party providers.

2. How we use it

We use your information to personalise your skingem experience — surfacing reviews relevant to your skin type and concerns, and showing you pricing from SA retailers near you.

Waitlist data is used to send launch updates, early access invitations, and your personalised Worth It List. We do not sell your data to third parties.

If you sign up as a brand, your account data is used to provide the Brand Dashboard, reports, or API access you have subscribed to.

3. Data sharing

We share anonymised, aggregated cohort data with brand partners — for example, "oily-skin reviewers rated this product 78% Worth Your Money." Individual user data is never shared with brands.

We use Supabase for database hosting and authentication. Your data is stored in their infrastructure, subject to their security standards.

4. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@skingem.co.za. We will respond within 30 days.

You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

5. Cookies

skingem uses minimal cookies — primarily for authentication sessions (brand portal login) and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Children

skingem is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as skingem grows. We will notify waitlist members of material changes by email. Continued use of skingem after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
